When I first ran into Won2, I was searcning for something related to beta CS. Stumbling into the Won2 forums, I ran into a few threads about topics I knew a lot about. Back then there was a guest account, so using the ever popular name 'guest', I offered some advice and left, never to be heard from again.
Or so I thought.
Turns out, in my scavenger quest, Won2 was pretty handy, and I stopped by somewhat regularly. Eventually though, using the guest account became cumbersome. Afterall, I wasn't the only one using it. So, to stand out as the 'real' guest, I registered under 'rguest'. Seemed ike a good idea at the time.

Roughly, oh, I dunno, at least a couple years ago, I actually 'joined' the team. This was and still is mostly because I wanted to refine my programming skills. My first self imposed quest was to tackle hl-boom for Windows, and one summer later, I succeeded. As far as actual duties go, I'm the main and pretty much only code jockey. My talents are very specialized, so I can only help in certain areas. But I also have a lot of freedom in selecting what I want to do.

I don't actually like CS 1.5 or TFC. In addition, I have a very poor internet connection. Because of that, I only have a strong presence on the forums. It is highly unlikely you'll ever see me playing on a Half-Life server, and even then, I won't be using this name. I say that because word is impersonating me isn't unheard of online, and since I only know a select few people, average John Q Won2player probably wouldn't know the difference.
I do play DooM though. All-Out War 2 is quite fun.
I used to play DoD fairly religiously before it was nerfed in v1.0. I am interested in modding since it's part of the enginework, and I'm very upset that ValvE seems to be doing as much as possible to kill off the HL1 modding community. The youthful idealism that fuels my hatred of Steam and the people that run it also fuel my love of open coding. I don't like hiding things, or oppressing information. If you have a quetion, ask.

I'll admit I don't make actually getting ahold of me the easiest thing in the world. Blame it on rampant paranoia; if it's time critical, you can only hope and pray.
